Unite STEM Series

We are calling on all Elementary and Middle School STEM teachers to Unite! Whether you are the designated "STEM Special" teacher at an elementary building or a stand-alone middle school coding or engineering instructor, the Unite STEM Series needs your help in building a STEM collaborative in Jackson County. This series intends to connect all elementary and middle school STEM teachers from across our county to learn and grow together. Our meetings will be designed to help build relationships amongst our STEM teachers, offer current professional learning as well as prioritize networking and shared-work time on new projects. Some of our expected topics for the year include: increasing student engagement; activities and project design; using AI; and funding your classroom.

This series aims to build a collaborative professional learning network for Jackson County pK-8 STEM teachers. In this first year, participants will learn strategies to increase student engagement, enhance project design, utilize AI, and sustain funding sources.
