    The Mathematical Playground: Using Mathigon in Your Classroom to Engage All Learners
    This  Act 48 eligible program will support teachers with content related to and implementation of the Mathigon virtual manipulative site.  Using manipulatives in conjuction with a sequenced based approach provides a conceptually supported method of instruction to create meaningful connections for all levels of understanding.  The use of manipulatives is an intervention for mathematics instruction that research suggests can enhance the mathematics performance of students in a classroom. The is session will engage teachers in content related to algebra, geometry, and operations with integers and fractions.
