    Financial Literacy Bootcamp: Personal Finance

    Accredited Act 48, this financial literacy training caters to Pennsylvania educators, applicable to those teaching or interested in teaching Personal Finance at the high school levels. Led by Dr. Jeffrey Coy, an Associate Professor of Finance and International Business at Penn State Behrend, as well as the Director of the Center for Financial Literacy, along with Ms. Carey Barzeski, McDowell High School Business Teacher and NGPF Ambassador. Participants will explore Pennsylvania's Personal Finance Literacy Standards, be introduced to activities to implement into the classroom; FINCAP, Kahoot, Applying TVM, STAX, Finviz, and All about Cars. Be introduced to Next Gen Personal Finance, Behavioral Economics, Compound interests and Time Value of Money, Investing, the basics of credit and available resources. Hear from guests such as Junior Achievement, and Professors of Finance.

    Note:  Depending on the number of registrants, the room location may change on PSB campus. Please check your email prior to attending the event in June.
