Phlebotomy Technician

Phlebotomy Technicians collect and prepare quality blood specimens and other specimens for laboratory testing. Phlebotomist predominantly work in hospital laboratories, but they may also work in commercial laboratories, blood banks, physician’s office or clinics, and other places where specimens are collected. The technician has direct patient contact and must create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explain procedures, taking vital signs, and minimizing pre-analytical errors in a safe and accurate manner, The Phlebolotimist must be knowledgeable and possess skills in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical law and ethics, infection control and safety, and more.
