4/5 Grade Yr 1 Math Academy
What is essential for best practice mathematics learning and teaching in your 4th and 5th grade classroom? Through an intentional look at the Standards for Student Mathematical Practice, Essential Instructional Practices in Early Mathematics, and Principles to Actions, we will explore resources that are ready to use, low prep, and will coordinate well with any curriculum currently in use in order to raise the level of teaching and learning in your classroom.
Target Audience
4th and 5th Grade Teachers, Instructional Coaches
Learner Outcomes
Participants will obtain an understanding of the Standards for Student Mathematical Practice, Essential Instructional Practices in Early Mathematics, and Principles to Actions. Participants will learn how to apply each of these resources in their classroom to facilitate high level learning. Participants will walk away with tools they can immediately apply in their classrooms that support best practice teaching and learning.
