Objectives of this course include:
I can rethink my current understanding of leveled text in creating classroom libraries.
I can organize my classroom library to be engaging for students.
I can consider student interest, reader identity, class time, student stamina, and choice as instructional moves to build classroom libraries.
I can utilize an online coaching platform to submit my work and collaborate with peers from a distance.
To reach these objectives, teachers will:
Complete a self-paced book study during the summer.
Attend monthly professional development sessions at Marquette-Alger RESA from 4:30-7:30 with dinner provided.
Participate in a coaching cycle with a RESA literacy coach.
Collaborate with peers around best practices.
Engage in coaching conversations throughout the process.
Meet all CLE project assurances.
