Self-Paced Online CSIU Guest Teacher & Education Majors Substitute Teacher Training

The CSIU Guest Teacher, Education Majors, and Classroom Monitors Program, facilitated by CSIU, is tailored for individuals interested in substitute teaching, including those with a bachelor's degree seeking substitute teacher roles (Guest Teacher) and college students majoring in education (Education Majors). This comprehensive training session covers effective instruction and classroom management strategies for traditional, non-traditional, and special education settings, along with an overview of local policies and procedures applicable to the school setting. Participants gain valuable insights and skills necessary for successful substitute teaching experiences. Cost: No Fee-The cost of this event is covered by state, federal, and local resources.

Target Audience
|
Education Majors – Must have completed 60 credits in a PA approved education program. If you are unsure if your education program is approved, please visit PDE PA Approved Educator Certificate Programs to make sure your university is on the list. You will be required to submit official transcripts at a later date.
Guest Teachers– Must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in any subject. If you are unsure if your university is accredited, please visit Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions and Programs to make sure your university is on the list. You will be required to submit official transcripts at a later date.
