Environmental Education Expo
|
The second annual Environmental Education Expo, taking place on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Montour Preserve. This day offers participating teachers a unique professional learning opportunity to earn 2 hours of Act 48 credits while engaging with STEM and environmental education in a collaborative, hands-on setting. Teachers will have the chance to interact with the Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience (MWEE) kits and other Environmental Literacy resources available through the CSIU lending library, providing valuable tools to enhance their instruction. Additionally, educators will connect with partnering organizations showcasing their programs and participate in hands-on activities designed to inspire curiosity and deepen understanding of environmental literacy. This event not only provides practical ideas and resources to enhance classroom instruction but also fosters professional growth through collaboration and exploration of innovative approaches to teaching STEM and environmental topics.
