LC: Applying the Principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to Project Based Learning (PBL)

Program will explain both the principles of UDL and Project Based Learning and how to apply both sets of principles when designing projects for Secondary students.

 Educators will create a project outline for students to complete specific to the subject area that they teach implementing both UDL and PBL.  Program will explain PBL and students will be able to “investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging and complex problem or challenge” (BIE, 2021), while including elements of UDL to support all students.

Target Audience
Lansdale Catholic Faculty
Learner Outcomes

In order to support appropriate lesson planning, educators will create the project based learning unit based on their Area of Certification/Area of Assignment.

Program will include elements of Adult Learning Theory including: Practical learning, Prior Knowledge, Learn by Doing and Self-Direction.
