Spreading the Love: Heartwarming Strategies for Communication Partners

Would your students bring their AAC devices to a birthday party, classroom Valentine's party or prom? Gayle Porter frequently asks similar questions to draw attention to how users view their communication devices. Do they view it as their true voice or is it work? This session is intended for teams to attend to expand their understanding and skills of being effective communication partners to promote autonomous communication. Evidence-based practices will be reviewed and used to explore and practice with various AAC devices.

SCECH's will be available pending state approval and verification of attendance for ASHA CEUs can be provided to attendees
