Property Maintenance Technician

The National Apartment Association offers certification for individuals who have one year of industry work experience and who have training in maintenance and repair in the following: Appliance, Electrical, Heating & Air Conditioning Systems, Interior & Exterior, and Plumbing. M-TEC offers training for certification in the modules listed below.

Certification: For participants who wish to obtain CAMT (Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technician), the prerequisites are an Associate's or Bachelor's degree desired, high school diploma required, proof of passing a background check required. Certification testing is available after completion of the training. 

The complete program includes seven modules of training.

Certification:  Optional Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT)

Program Outline:

  • Electrical Maintenance and Repair
  • Appliance Maintenance and Repair
  • Heating & Air Conditioning Systems Maintenance and Repair
  • Plumbing Maintenance and Repair
  • Interior & Exterior Maintenance and Repair
  • Inside the Apartment Business - 2 hr. online
  • People, Projects, and Profits - 2 hr. online
