    Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) & Developing Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP

    Through this session, participants will gain the knowledge needed to successfully and thoroughly conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and utilize the information gleaned from the FBA process to drive function-based intervention in the form of a Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBSP). This session will offer some lecture but will focus heavily on application and practice.

    Target Audience
    Elwyn ELS LEA Representation Staff (including LEA Reps; LEA SIs; LEA SLPs; LEA OTs); MDE Team Members; Behavior Support Specialists
    Learner Outcomes
    Participants will increase their ability to accurately & effectively conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) in accordance with the regulations & best practices. Participants will utilize function hypotheses derived from a well-conducted FBA to drive the development of function-based interventions via a formal Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBSP).
