Mariha Shields and Amanda Anderson, from ARIN TaC Team, will engage learners in a 5 hour session of information and hands-on exploration of Classroom Management on December 10, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at ARIN IU 28. This training is recommended for teachers in all subjects and grade levels.
This training will include the following topics:
Using mindfulness in the classroom
Proactive classroom management practices
Behavior management continuum for handling behaviors in the classroom
De-Escalation strategies
Behavior Reflections
CHAMPS - setting classroom management expectations
Positive reinforcement
Trainers will guide participants in becoming proactive, positive problem solvers who anticipate and design interventions where students are more likely to experience academic and behavioral success. Participants will look at definitions, examples, and implementation strategies for each behavior management method related to their own particular classroom.
