    Build Code Fly Compete
    ARIN IU 28 will be providing Build Code Fly Compete (Overview & Opportunities for Districts) on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Indiana Senior High School, North 5th Street, Indiana, PA.  This is a hands-on workshop for teachers which will begin with the assembly of a Hopper drone.  Once assembled, participants will learn basic flight terminology and safety before flying the drone with a controller and/or mobile device.  Participants will then have an introduction to block coding to plan and execute a series of flights.  Finally, we will discuss how we can support teachers in developing a pathway to incorporating a drone program in your district.  This session is for General and Special Education teachers of middle and high school students who are interested in drone programming.

Participants must attend the full workshop in order to receive Act 48 hours.  (Hours are not prorated for late arrivals/early exits.)  Session begins promptly at 9:00 AM.  Participants must sign in by 9:00 AM and must sign out at the end of the workshop to earn the Act 48 hours offered for this workshop.

Note: Registration is a commitment for payment unless cancellation is made at least 48 hours prior to the activity.
Payment Instructions Districts will be invoiced following the activity.  Individuals not affiliated with a district should bring payment with them on the day of the workshop (either a check made out to "ARIN IU 28" or cash in the exact amount) - upon arrival, stop at the front desk to make your payment and receive a receipt.
