Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (BASIC) - Online/Face-to-Face w/Physical Competencies

The Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training program is based on the philosophy of providing the best care, welfare, safety, and security for both students and staff, even during the most violent moments. The program focuses on preventing disruptive behavior by communicating with students respectfully and with concern for their well-being. There is a concentration of verbal de-escalation. Participants will also learn personal safety techniques. There is an online component of this class that must be completed prior to the day of the class you are registering for.     You will be contacted by the instructor of the class with the information you will need to register for the online component by email after registration.  If you have questions about the online component contact jessica.nichols@jcisd.org.

Bring a copy of the online certificate when you complete the online portion prior to class.
