Getting Started with Vernier Science Probes
One of the major shifts in the K-12 Framework for Science Education and correspondingly the NGSS, is the use of data in scientific practices. The shift doesn't come from the use of data itself but in the use of our student's generated data. Programs in alignment with the NGSS will help facilitate student understanding of core ideas through the analysis of student generated data. The Jackson County ISD maintains an extensive resource loan library of Vernier probeware, graphing calculators, and Vernier labquests to aid in your laboratory endeavors. These resources are free for all Jackson County teachers. Come spend a day with us to learn how to use these systems in laboratory settings while we dig deeper into the practices of Planning and Carrying Out Investigations an
