Designed for all school personnel—not just counselors—this two-part workshop focuses on building a structured crisis response plan and supporting healthy grieving for students and staff.
Morning Session: Learn how to establish effective policies and procedures, form a crisis response team, develop classroom discussion plans, and address various types of loss, including suicide, accidental deaths, and anticipated deaths.
Afternoon Session: Explore grief theory, gain strategies to support students and staff, and create a compassionate school environment.
Who Should Attend: Building principals, school counselors, school social workers, school resource officers (SROs), classroom teachers who volunteer in their buildings, and an outside advisor from a local counseling agency.
Tragedies affect the entire school family—be prepared to provide meaningful support.
