Advisory supports "positive learning environment" through scheduling students in a grade-level cohort that they loop with for 9th-12th grade with the same teacher. Advisory supports "plan and prepare" but giving students the opportunity to plan for their success during and after high school, with exploration opportunities for the to understand their skills & interests. Advisory supports "engage and instruct" with meaningful activities that allow for teachers to connect with their cohort of students over the four years in high school, and share pertinent college & career instruction. The PST group specifically supports "reflect and adjust" through weekly reflection upon lesson plans and considering input/feedback from teachers at Niwot.
