The Good Natured Learning Workshop will prepare you to deliver engaging,
standards-aligned outdoor lessons. This is for all content areas and
grade levels. Good Natured Learning (GNL) aligns with this vision by
bringing the benefits of nature into formal education, addressing
pressing challenges for students, teachers, and the planet. Nature-based
learning supports mental and physical health, social-emotional
development, academic achievement, and environmental
stewardship—offering real solutions to issues like student anxiety,
teacher satisfaction, and environmental awareness. Through
professional development, GNL empowers teachers as experts, equipping
them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver engaging,
standards-aligned outdoor and nature-connected lessons. This approach
enhances SVVSD’s holistic student development goals by giving teachers
practical tools to integrate nature into the curriculum, enriching
students' educational experiences and supporting the district’s
commitment to well-rounded, impactful learning.
