To highlight the alignment of SVVSD and State of Colorado's licensure and evaluation while honoring the specific elements of the SVVSD evaluation system, combining a hybrid process was deemed most appropriate. All evaluators in the SVVSD system will take part in the online learning experience and an in-person series of training sessions. Evaluators will:
- Complete the CDE E-Train Part 1 (synchronous) modules
- Complete SVVSD in-person training to connect learning from the E-Train modules with the St. Vrain context.
The in-person sessions are timed to align the Training Standards and Elements I, II, III, IV, and V, with the St. Vrain evaluation processes including Principal Rubric, Alternative Options, and evaluation for SSPs. The in-person sessions were designed to highlight key elements of the E-Train Part1 modules and provide collaboration/processing opportunities among and between colleagues. A planning team from St. Vrain was assembled to develop the proposed SVVSD training. Groups represented included: elementary, K-8, secondary, district administration, Human Resources, Special Education, and Professional Development. In-person sessions will be delivered by members of the design team so that evaluators will hear a common message and alignment with the training design will be maintained.
